Oklahoma Backroads
Class Supply List

Bricks and Squares make a wonderful scrappy starry design!

For this class you will need:

Approximately  6 yards of a multitude of scraps, cut into the following:

This quilt has 110 blocks set 10X 11 for a quilt that meaures 90 X98 when finished.
You don't have to make it this big! We will break this down in to requirements for each block so you can plan accordingly.

For each 8" block you will neeed:
(4) 21/2" X 4 1/2" DARK rectangles
(4) 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" DARK squares
(8) 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" LIGHT squares.

Multiply the above by the number of blocks you desire to do to make your quilt the size you want to make it.

Please try to have enough fabrics cut for 8 blocks before you come to class so you don't miss out on sewing time by having to press and cut your scraps in class.

In addition to the fabrics for the center of the quilt, you will need:
1 yard light fabric for inner border.
1 1/2 yards dark for outer border.

General Supplies needed:

Please print out the directions to this quilt at http://quiltville.com/okbackroadspf.html  and bring it to class with you.
Also, please be aware of anyone else in your group who might not have internet/printer access, and be helpful in ensuring that they also have a copy! This helps keep costs down for the guilds, and REALLY helps me when I am traveling and limited on what I can carry with me due to baggage restrictions.

Sewing machine in working order (including power cords and extention cords)
Thread, scissors, seam ripper, pins and any other notions you usually sew with.
Rotory cutter, mat and ruler.

Irons and ironing boards should be provided by the guild. Personal pressing items may be okay to use at your workstation as long as the use of power won't trip the circuits in the building leaving the room (or half the room) without power! Please check with your workshop coordinators if mini irons are okay or not.

Looking forward to this workshop with your guild!
