Quiltville In The News!!

Always looking for new ways to use up her scrap pile, Tara Sniedze aka Tazzie was inspiredby my Zig-Zag Nine Patch to make her own! She asked me if she could submit it for publication. Australian Patchwork and Quilting gave us a great link and a huge plug! Way to go Tara! Issue: Aug, 2007, page 88.

I was lucky enough to have a customer have her quilt shown in Jean Biddick's book, Blended Quilt Backgrounds!  I love partnering with quilters like this, it was such an honor!

Quiltville also was mentioned in a very fun article by Holly Holderman in McCall's Quilting! Holly lists her favorite blogs and their web addresses, and I made the cut! Thanks Holly! Issue: Feb 2008 page 56.

I have TWO features in the Jan/Feb 2008 issue of Quiltmaker Magazine! You can find the pattern for my "Blue Ridge Beauty" Quilt on page 22, along with an article on "Leaders & Enders" on page 26!  Look for more to come!

I am so tickled to get a Shout Out in the July/August 08 issue of Mark Lipinski's Quilter's Home Magazine! I love this magazine! I find the articles fun and informative, brash and splashy, what a great read! Who can resist articles titled things like "Bankrupt For Cotton" or "When Good Longarmers Go Bad" *LOL*
My blurb is found in "Free, Fun and Fabulous Freebies on page 46.

Sept/Oct 2008! Look for "Patches & Pinwheels" on page  30.  I finished this quilt top while at a guild retreat with my group from North Augusta in 2004. It's a great scrappy quilt and so fun to sew!

Another Issue, Another Shout Out!
Mark referred his readers to Quiltville's On-Point Settings charts, with easy formulas and pre-figured sizes for cutting those pesky setting triangles. I love being a reference place for all that technical stuff we love to hate!

Jan/Feb 2009! This fun issue includes an article on the Scrap User's System, as well as a pattern for making Tropical Twist from 2" strips and 3.5" squares!

It's very exciting for me to share this issue with designers like Mark Lipinski and Scott Murkin, another North Carolinian!
