My husband
brought the box by the quilt shop
where
I work (I had asked
him to call me when UPS delivered it so I could run home to see
it)…there
were 4 others in the shop and we all spent time ooohing
and ahhhhing. Our owner and the another serious
quilter (both of them use Nolting Quilting Bees) were
very impressed with how much quilting you put down and the rest of us
were awed
and fascinated by your designs and the interplay of the threads on the
front
and especially on the back…
I wish you could have heard all the “warm
fuzzy” sentiments!
After returning home, hubby
and I
laid
Cookie's quilt out on the bed... Oh, was I ever surprised at what
I saw!!!
With tears of joy, heart pudding and sew glad it was mine
feeling!!! You did sew much, I couldn't stop rubbing
my hand over all the stitching... : )
No picture will ever do
justice
to your
work... I know my niece will always love and cheerish her wedding
quilt
but your quilting has made it a loving memory for any
one that looks upon it!!!
There are no words to desribe
the
heart
warming feeling I get when looking at Cookie's
wedding quilt...
Thank you will never be enough but THANK YOU!!!

Hi Bonnie...........
Wanted to share some exciting news... just got home from the Iowa Guild
show......
I called the "Block of the Month" quilts "The Calm" and "The Storm"
.....
they won frist and second place respectively in the Team Bed Quilt
category!
Your ears should have been burning with all the glowing admiration
that was going on over your quilting!
I was "gobsmacked" to say the least.... there were 55 quilts in the
category,
but I believe they split it for judging -- still 1st AND 2nd out of
27-28
quilts is pretty good!
The scrappy one from Feb didn't get a ribbon, but I sure heard people
complimenting
it .... and I love it!
Thank you SO MUCH for the wonderful work you do --
I know my quilts would be rather "unremarkable" without your fabulous
quilting....
Hugs 'n stitches......

I put three
of the
quilts
you have done for me in "Images", which is part of the Lowell Quilt
Festival, in August 2002.
The big log cabin got some votes for viewer's choice, but my favorite
comment was "Your Quilter is a real treasure!"
Thanks!

Baby Julia is thrilled with her

Grandma Barb Dangel of Needham, MA.
Bonnie,
The quilt just arrived and I
am thrilled. When I did
my
research to find a machine quilter I knew from the
moment I read your customer testamonials that you were the one.
My instincts didn't let me down. As a long
time hand quilter I am very picky. I'm not sure I could have done
as much quilting by hand as you have
done with your machine. The motifs you picked for the various
areas were perfect. I love it all.
I can hardly wait to send the
next one. It is totally
different from this one so the anticipation of it being turned into a
true heirloom will be great. I thank you again and look forward to many
more e-mails and collaberations.

Bonnie,
I've been meaning to tell you that I entered The Map Quilt
in the PIQF show
(in Santa Clara) and it got in. Not only that, the show opened last
night
and.... it got first place in the innovative category!!! Can you
believe it?
Thanks so much for your
wonderful work on it.
Thanks again.

I put 2 quilts pieced by me and quilted by Bonnie in the show to sell
at Sisters, Oregon.
So, I strolled into town about 10am and am hoping I can find the
quilts.
On the way through I found one... I was so excited to find the sale
tag gone and so early in the day!!
They had a table set up behind the Stitchin' Post for those trying to
locate quilts. So, I flip through and only see the one that I had
found. The other one was not even in the book.:( The ladies could tell
me nothing (they were
just volunteers) except that with so many quilts in the show that
the
list can't be guaranteed perfect, which I completely understood. So, I
hoofed
it ALL through town looking for my quilt. Where oh where was it!!
Down
and
back, down and back. Thank goodness Sisters isn't any bigger and thank
goodness I've lost almost 50 pounds!
LOL No luck! My plan was
if my quilts didn't sell,
was to
hang out until 6:30 and pick it/them up after the show,
but if they sold I could just go home when I was ready. So, I hoofed it
down to the main quilt show office
and told them the dilemma.
Jean Wells happened to be there
and so she looked up the
"missing"
quilt to see if someone brought in a tag.
She asked me to describe it, then she said, "I think that's the one I
bought last night".
OHMYGOSH!!! Huh? I think my jaw
dropped open!! So, one of
the
gals
grabbed her tickets (it
looked like she had bought 4 of them) and compared with my number...
YES, It was at her home right now!!!!!!!!!!!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??!! That was a huge compliment and she didn't even
have to say anything!!
She commented that when she saw it she was smitten with it!! Bonnie!!!!
Can you believe Jean Wells owns OUR quilt!!???
She did also say, oops, your quilt didn't get to hang in the show, I
guess I'll have to wait to bring
them home next year until after the show.:)))

IT'S HERE! I love it! You did a wonderful job! I came
home and put it on the bed and turned on the bed side table
lights, the overhead lights and opened the drapes. I adore
the feathers.The leaves in the
sashing are perfect. I can't believe how you
are able to see just the right thing to put in just the right
places. I love the feathered hearts. The feathers in the
courthouse steps were just what they needed.
My quilt has twenty-five
blocks, it was a sampler quilt made of Civil War Reproduction
fabrics. I had Bonnie heirloom quilt it. When It came
back to me, I was astounded that every block was quilted as if it were
a separate quilt. Each one was totally different. Bonnie is
truly an artist. She's the "only" machine quilter as far as I'm
concerned

Bonnie,
The quilt arrived today and it is fabulous. In fact, it far exceeds my
expectations.
Your marvelous quilting showcases all the squares so lovingly created
when my daughter was ten.
I can hardly wait to finish showing the binding and to present it to
her for her 25th birthday.
It will be a treasure forever.
I am now working on an applique
quilt of sea turtles for
her
graduation from college which we care crossing our
fingers and hoping will take place in December. Can you sign me up for
a date to quilt this quilt?
If I actually have a date, I will move forward faster.
Thanks for caring about our
treasures.

I made this feathered star
quilt from Marsha McCloskey's
Feathered
Quilts book, making
it using the bar quilt technique ( no set in seams :) It was beautiful,
I made it in red and cream , both were tone on tone fabrics. Then
I pondered how to quilt it and I knew at once the only quilting that
would do
this beauty justice was Bonnie's special touch with her heirloom style
machine
quilting.
I sent it to her and told her to do what felt right to her...I have
come to trust her judgement completely in these matters. Well,
she didn't let me down...by a long shot!! My quilt was returned
to me with a
life in it I didn't think possible! There are expertly crafted
feather
wreaths in the setting squares, and a rolling feathered border design
to
die for :))) Also numerous designs in the stars and blocks all
surrounded
by yummy stippling to help set them off. I have always hand
quilted,
just now beginning to venture into the world of machine quilting small
projects
myself. I would have never been able to handquilt this with the
density
of quilting that Bonnie was able to put into it.
Can't wait to get the binding on and sleep tight under this baby...she
has truly made a believer in me of the magic of machine quilting!
Thanks
Bonnie...you're the best!

Bonnie,
I received the quilt today and I absolutely love it. You did a
beautiful job and I really love the choices you made for the
designs. I have
always loved that swirl design and the leaves, too.
Thank you so much for taking such care with my quilt.

Oh BONNIE.....!!!!!!!!!
All I can say is WOW........! I loved this simple little quilt
top before I
sent it to you -- and it's even better now! I think you should
sign your
name, Bonnie Hunter, Quilter Extraordinaire........!
I took my little 9-patch quilt
to Cedar Rapids with me
Friday to
show
Brenda...... I am just soooooooo thrilled with it! Still working
on this
next one.... hope to make a lot of headway on it over labor day
weekend....
now if only you have a cancellation LOL.

You are marvelous.
My MIL has hers hung on the wall and your ears must have been burning
hot August 20 as all the relatives went crazy over it ... Then I gave
Kelly
Paloma her quilt, and my "grown-up" 13-year-old niece cried over the
pink/aqua
Irish chain quilt.
Truthfully,My nose was a tiny bit out of joint as they were fixated on
the beautiful quilitng, (Vicky said, "the piecing is quite nice but it
is
the beautiful stitching that makes this so special...She works at the
Santa
Barbara Art Museum...) but my husband was beaming because he felt he
had
contributed to the quilt...by "earning" the money to pay for the
quilting.
I had to laugh and I do appreciate your work and it is true that the
quilting
makes the quilt.

Dear Bonnie -
It is FANTASTIC! You did a great job. Thanks.
We look at it more from the back than from the front. That is the
best way
to appreciate your quilting without being distracted by the piecing and
applique. (I found that funny little four pointed star that I
forgot to
stitch down - got to fix that.) The quilting design (the
one you referred
to as "paisley") is just beautiful. Ooooh, aaaah!!!!!
Oh here come the ladies. I may let them take a stitch or two in
the
binding. While they eat their hearts out (VVBG).

My Garden Path quilt was a way to use up my Civil War era scraps. I
left
nice wide rows of muslin to show off the quilting. Bonnie did a
wonderful
inter-twining feather and stippled in the background. It is heavily
quilted
just like I wanted and especially after washing it has a very old
fashioned
look to it. It is my very favorite new "old" quilt!

This is another quilt of Lori's:
Hello Bonnie,
I'm so excited I'm shaking. I opened the box and saw the
quilt. Well, I couldn't get it unfolded quickly enough, and
draped it over the top
of my king size bed. You are right, Bonnie, it's glorious!
You
are an artist with that longarm machine,
and I know you put your blood, sweatand tears into this one. I
appreciate all the time you took, and the beautiful job you did.
You put into
the quilt, as much love as I did when I pieced it. An
extraordinary
person you are, Bonnie Hunter. I will tell all my friends about
you
and your work.
(well....., maybe I won't, they'll fill your date book up so much I
won't get an ppointment for my tops...LOL)
You're a doll Bonnie! I
love your work!
Thank you and God Bless,

Bonnie,
My quilt arrived safely today and I love it. I
spread it out on the floor and spent a lot of time studying all of the
quilting on it. So many different patterns and intricate
designs! I'm
very pleased with it and so glad I waited to have you do the
quilting. Thank you very much for your
services and I hope to be able to send more tops to you in the future.
Sincerely,

Bonnie,
My quilt arrived Monday. It is beautiful! I have never had
a quilt so heavily quilted. It took me some time to believe that
it
was mine. I took it to work and everyone said, "Wow, did you do
this?" I, of course, said "Well, I did some of it!" They
don't understand
the difference between piecing and quilting so the explanation usually
takes
a while. I can't wait to get the binding done
so I can wash it and see it pucker!

Bonnie!!!!
The mailwoman was just here with a package for me! I squealed,
"It's my quilt!" and she had to wait until I opened it so that
she could
see too. It's gorgeous!!! Woohoo! It's true, quilting really does
make
the quilt. And looks great draped over my new sofa :-)))
Now to find some fabric for binding. Thanks for the wonderful job
:-)))))

I just had Bonnie machine quilt a stack & whack kaleidoscope quilt
for me. It was waiting for me when I returned from the
Restoration
Conference. I had never had anyone professionally machine quilt
something
for me before and she did an amazing job, quilting beautiful medallions
with stippling in the non-kaleidoscope neutral areas and swirls in the
rest.
She quilted special effects in the two borders AND she put up with my
e-mails and phone calls. I finally just asked her to use her
judgement and
it was a wise move.
For those of you who know me, I am really a lover of hand quilting and
only
do machine quilting on things that I know will be treated rough.
Or in this
case, one that I didn't have time to hand quilt but deserved much
better
than my machine quilting.

Bonnie:
The quilt arrived today . It is absolutely stunning. You quilted above
and beyond the call of duty.
I really love the hearts in the white border. I will be showing it off
at Lancaster. I will attache the binding to the front this
evening.
And I can whip the edge down on the back while on the way to
Lancaster. Thanks a ton. How long did it take to do one like that?

PS.. ladies, you wouldn't believe what a beautiful job Bonnie did
on my quilt.
I received a box yesterday, and inside were my 2 quilts!!! Bonnie did a
spectacular job. If any of you want to skip the drudge work
of basting, and wrestling a quilt under your machine. Treat
yourself to Bonnie's talents. She truly brought the quilts
to life with her whimsical designs, feathers with tendrils, heart
vines, berry vines enclosed in circles!! I tell you she
does a fabulous job!!!
Thank-you Bonnie!!!
From one very satisfied customer!!!

Dear Bonnie,
I picked my quilt up at the post office the other day and I just want
to let you know
how pleased my husband and I were.
Kari, the little one it is for
got so excited. Nikki
the
oldest said "Mom, isn't it beautiful!" Both girls got toy sewing
machines for Christmas and they both want to start a quilt, probably
just doll size,
but still a quilt. What excitement!
Again thank you for such a
great job.
Will be calling in the future!

Hiya Gals,
I just got my Bear in the Woods
quilt back from Bonnie
Hunter and
boy,did she do some
incredible quilting! I will post a picture when I can
(once the binding is finished being sewn down).
I've shown it to a few
local quilters here and
everyone asked me for her phone number!
Bonnie - you should feel good
knowing that I will be sooooo
proud
to give this to my

Hi Bonnie,
My quilts arrrived safe and
sound in the mail on
Friday. I
was so excited when
I opened the box...and so impressed with your work! You did a
fantastic job!
I was so excited that I've almost finished the binding on the Irish
Chain and have the
binding ready to be put on the second quilt.
Thanks again for the great
work.
I look forward to doing more quilting with you!

Hi Bonnie,
I finally got to see the quilt you quilted for my friend,
Norma Hong. WOW!!! IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!! The back is as pretty as
the
front. You did a fine job.
She took it to her
church group that is
running the
raffle last night and stopped by my house so I could see it. I
spoke to Norma today and the women in the church group were
flabbergasted. One of
them said it was the prettiest quilt they have ever raffled.
Thank you for a
job well done,
Mitzie in Maryland

really
pleased with your work - - you did a beautiful
